Nine Dead in Punjab Pick-up Truck Collision En Route to Funeral

Nine people died and several were injured on Saturday when a pick-up truck carrying 32 passengers, including women and children, collided with another vehicle near Janga Wala Mour on the Ferozepur–Fazilka road. The occupants were traveling from Jalalabad to Beas, Amritsar, to immerse the ashes of a deceased relative. Victims were rushed to Civil Hospital Ferozepur, with critical cases referred to Guru Gobind Singh Government Medical College, Faridkot. Police have initiated an investigation into the cause of the accident.
